Job Description Role: Engineer / Senior Engineer – Drivetrain (e-Transmission Design & Development) Role Overview:- Responsible for design and development of drivetrain parts for automotive e-Transmissions, including gear train, lubrication systems, and thermal management. The role involves layout and packaging in vehicles, supplier collaboration, proto and production part development, and resolving issues related to NVH, durability, and assembly. Key Responsibilities Design, layout, and packaging of transmission systems within the vehicle environment. Develop gear train parts for adapting motor/engine in e-transmissions. Design of forced lubrication systems to meet both motor cooling and transmission lubrication requirements. Develop prototype and tooled-up parts in collaboration with suppliers (concurrent engineering). Investigate and implement countermeasures for driveline part failures observed during testing. Analyze and resolve market problems, NVH issues, and assembly challenges related to transmission systems (pump, gear train, thermal system). Support end-to-end validation from concept to production with a strong focus on reliability, efficiency, and manufacturability. Technical Competencies Strong knowledge of transmission system design, especially e-transmission / hybrid systems. Experience in gear design, gear train layout, and lubrication systems. Understanding of thermal management and NVH analysis in driveline systems. Hands-on experience in CAD tools (preferably Unigraphics NX / CATIA). Knowledge of proto development, supplier collaboration, and production tooling. Familiarity with testing & validation processes for driveline and e-transmission systems. Behavioral Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams. Proactive approach with strong ownership and accountability. Good communication and presentation skills. Educational Qualification & Work Experience :- B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering (Full-time). Minimum 3–7 years of experience in design & development of drivetrain / transmission systems (experience with e-transmission preferred).
