Job Description

1. New Part Qualification APQP

Lead end-to-end part development quality activities as per APQP requirements.

Coordinate PPAP and ensure timely approval submission to stakeholders.

2. Supplier Quality Coordination

Work closely with suppliers during prototype, pre-launch stages tool -up sample pilot lot

Validate supplier manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and drawing requirements.

Conduct supplier process audits and capability assessments for new part development.

3. Dimensional Material Validation

Review drawings, GDT, and critical dimensions to define inspection standards.

Coordinate dimensional layouts, material testing, and performance validation.

Analyze measurement reports and ensure results meet design and regulatory requirements.

4. Process Establishment Capability

Support development of manufacturing controls, gauging requirements, and inspection methods.

Conduct capability studies (Cp, Cpk, MSA, GRR) before SOP.

Validate special processes such as welding, heat treatment, coating, molding, etc.

5. Issue Resolution Continuous Improvement

Identify non-conformities during trials and take action to address root causes (RCA using 5-Why, Fishbone, PDCA).

Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and validated.

Drive process improvements to enhance quality, reduce rework, and prevent recurrence.

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

Interface with Design, Manufacturing, Purchase, Production, Supplier, and Customer teams for development milestones.

Participate in design reviews, proto build, pilot batch, and SOP readiness meetings.

Support launch readiness planning and change management activities (ECN/Engineering Changes).

7. Documentation Compliance

Maintain complete development records as per internal quality management systems (ISO).

Prepare quality reports, validation summaries, PPAP documents audit records.

Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements (CSR) and regulatory standards.
