Engineer - QA

Role & responsibilities

1. Perform patrol, first-off, layout, and stage-wise inspections

   (final, MPI, PDI) for input shafts and yokes to ensure dimensional accuracy and process compliance.

2. Execute NPD inspections

   using standard room equipment, develop CMM programs, maintain CMM styluses, and generate detailed inspection reports.

3. Conduct Statistical Process Control (SPC)

   for critical dimensions to monitor trends, detect variations, and maintain quality standards.

4. Prepare and update inspection work instructions

   and ensure zero inspection-related rejections through strict adherence to first-off and patrol approvals.

5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives

   such as Poka-Yoke, Kaizen, and CAPA to reduce in-process and customer rejections of input shafts.

6. Address customer issues proactively

   by identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and minimizing input shaft complaints and COPQ.

7. Maintain all quality documentation

   including inspection records, calibration data, layout reports, and ensure audit readiness and governance compliance.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / Bachelors / Masters degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Automobile Engineering (or related field). – 3 to 6 years of experience
• Rotational shift
