A: MAIN POSITION CONTENTS

Purpose

  • Design & develop highly reliable and cost-efficient cable accessories used in high voltage cable systems

Responsibility

  • Understand the customer requirement & provide right accessories within our portfolio
  • Create 3D model, drawings & documents in time with quality
  • Update / revise the document as per client needs
  • Collaborate with tender, project, installation & procurement teams on various tasks
  • Contribute to standardise the design and development process
  • Support R&D team for product improvement

B: TASKS

Primary Tasks

  • Design cable accessories used in high voltage cable systems
  • Establish standard and good design practice & process
  • QC check the mechanical design output from G3C team
  • Prepare relevant technical documents (drawings, technical reports) in time for ongoing projects
  • Use Windchill for storing, classifying & releasing the data
  • Support technical writer in preparation & reviewing the assembly instruction
  • Support during internal and external tests
  • Participate in lesson learned sessions & record feedback from site

C: QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Education

  • B Tech / MTech degree in Mechanical

Experience

  • Minimum 5 + years of experience working as a mechanical design engineer in a product development environment
  • Experience from working with SolidWorks, Windchill PLM tools
  • Understand design tasks related to high voltage power products or Onshore/ offshore or similar field
  • Good knowledge on manufacturing process like machining, welding, etc.
  • Good knowledge in GD&T
  • Experience with coordination with suppliers, offshore teams

Mandatory courses

  • CAD Software - Solid Works
  • PLM – Windchill

Languages [1]

  • English written and spoken (Technical language)
  • Swedish and/or German is meriting

IT

  • MS Office Package
  • SAP (meritorious)
