Who we are:
We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT’s product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform, and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Design and Development of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for High-Altitude Platform System (HAPS) Applications

Understand System requirements and Layout the Baseline Design
-
Generate Conceptual designs and Perform validation techniques to select Best Optimal Design
-
Selection of Materials and manufacturing process for Composite, Metallic, Plastic, etc
-
Perform Design Calculations as per System Requirements
-
Hand Calculations, Preliminary Sizing through basic FE Analysis
-
Develop 3D Models and drawings using CATIA 3D Experience.

Build Assemblies and Perform Stack-up Analysis.

Design Mold /Tooling/Fixtures for Component Manufacturing
-
Involve and assist in manufacturing activity at the shop floor.

Interact with the Manufacturing team to optimize the design for better producibility and to solve the Manufacturing issues.

Handling the team independently, responsibility on all deliverables

Uses creativity from a wider perspective in terms of re-framing problems and approaches.

Continuously explores new practices and patterns for their problem-solving toolkit.
Must have skills:

Experience in Aerospace Domain preferably exposure to New Product Development and able to work in a Fast paced environment.

Good Understanding of Aerodynamics and Behaviour of Aircraft Structure in response to Static and Dynamic Loads

Experience in Designing Structural Components like Wing and Fuselage of Aircraft

Performing Hand Calculations and Linear Static Analysis, Performing Stack-Up Analysis to verify Clash/Clearances in Assembly

Experience in Product development using DFM and DFA Principles
-
Familiar to CATIA 3D-Exp/V5/V6-Part Modelling, Generative Surface Design, Assembly Design, DMU Kinematics and Drafting

Core knowledge of Part, Assembly & Installation drawing making

Experience in using ASME Y 14.5 drafting standards, Good Knowledge of GD&T.

Good Knowledge of Materials and Manufacturing Processes

Basic Understanding of Aerodynamics and Behaviour of Aircraft Structure in response to Static and Dynamic Loads

Should be able to communicate with internal customers on the technical requirements, be able to discuss, participate and negotiate in finalizing technical requirements and acceptance methodologies.

Knowledge/Experience in Product Design in Unmanned combat aerial vehicles & HAPS

Hands on experience in commercial FEA Tools e.g., ANSYS Workbench, Altair Hypermesh, MSC Patran/Nastran

Experience in 3D Exp-composite Modeling, wire harnessing, Piping.

Scripting Languages like CAT script, VB Script, App script for automation
Basic Requirement (education & relevant experience):
B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical/Aeronautical) with 3-5 Years experience or M.E/M.Tech (Mechanical/Aerospace) with 0-3 years' experience.
0-3 Years in Engineering design / product development / CAD Design.
