Interested candidates, kindly mail to enpcareers.hr@ril.com Main Purpose: As an Engineer in the Control Center Pipeline team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the gas pipeline network. Operating from the Pipeline Operation Centre (POC), you will oversee real-time monitoring and control of the system, coordinate with field teams and ensure scheduled gas delivery. Your focus will be on minimizing fuel usage, maintaining system integrity and upholding the highest safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Operate and monitor pipeline compressors, valves and metering systems to ensure all components function within defined safe operating limits. Manage and control gas flow to meet daily nominations and ensure timely delivery at Custody Transfer Points (CTPs). Maintain optimal linepack across the pipeline network to support consistent delivery pressure and gas availability during demand fluctuations. Run compressors efficiently to reduce fuel consumption and minimize wear by avoiding peak load operations and frequent start-stop cycles. Adjust set points for Metering & Regulation (M&R) and Compressor Stations based on real-time conditions and delivery requirements. Monitor SCADA/DCS systems for alarms, promptly acknowledge critical events, and initiate corrective actions as per standard operating procedures (SOPs). Identify and resolve causes of gas loss through system balancing, pressure trend analysis, and close coordination with field teams. Act as the central control point during emergencies, managing communication with field operations, isolating affected sections, and activating emergency response protocols. Ensure pipeline integrity by monitoring for leaks, vibration, pressure anomalies, and equipment performance to proactively prevent failures. Control flow rates, pressures, and temperatures at multiple locations using SCADA/HMI systems to optimize operational performance. Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and execute maintenance activities without compromising system reliability or customer deliveries. Serve as a vital communication link between the Control Room, Field Operations, Scheduling, and Commercial teams—especially during abnormal events or equipment downtime. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in control room operations within the upstream Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Refinery sectors. Strong working knowledge of SCADA/DCS systems and pipeline operations. Interested candidates, kindly mail to enpcareers.hr@ril.com Show more Show less
