Job Summary:

The Transport Executive is responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day transportation operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods/people, optimal vehicle utilization, compliance with legal requirements, and smooth coordination between drivers, suppliers, and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and oversee transportation operations to ensure timely delivery and pickups.
• Coordinate with drivers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics flow.
• Monitor and track vehicle movements using GPS systems and maintain trip records.
• Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, repairs, and servicing to ensure roadworthiness.
• Optimize routes to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
• Maintain all required documentation related to transportation, such as permits, fuel consumption, and expense records.
• Ensure compliance with transportation laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Handle transport-related queries, complaints, and issues promptly.
• Monitor driver performance, attendance, and conduct periodic training sessions.
• Work closely with the procurement, warehouse, and operations teams for seamless coordination.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• 3–6 years of experience in transportation/ operations.
• Strong knowledge of fleet management, route planning, and transportation regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and GPS tracking software.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good team management and coordination skills.
