Role Objective

​We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Repair Engineer to join our maintenance team on a contract basis. The primary focus of this role is to significantly reduce operational costs by performing component-level repairs on critical electronic hardware. You will be responsible for the health of the plant’s control systems, ensuring that expensive modules like PLC cards and protective relays are restored to OEM standards rather than replaced.

Key Responsibilities

• ​Component-Level Repair: Diagnose and repair complex multilayer PCBs, including the replacement of microprocessors, capacitors, ICs, and surface-mount devices (SMD).
• ​System Maintenance: Troubleshoot and refurbish PLC I/O cards, communication modules, and power supply units.
• ​Relay Calibration: Test, repair, and calibrate numerical and electromechanical protective relays to ensure grid stability.
• ​Cost Optimization: Implement a "repair-first" strategy to minimize the procurement of new electronic spares, documenting cost savings for plant management.
• ​Preventive Maintenance: Conduct thermal imaging and visual inspections to identify aging components before they fail.
• ​Lab Management: Maintain and calibrate specialized repair tools, including digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and soldering stations.

Technical Requirements

• ​Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related technical field.
• ​Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in industrial electronics repair, specifically within power plants or heavy industrial environments.
• ​Specialized Knowledge: * Deep understanding of PLC hardware architectures (e.g., Siemens, ABB, GE, or Schneider). 
• ​Proficiency in reading complex electronic schematics and logic diagrams.
• ​Expert-level soldering/desoldering skills (BGA and SMD).
• ​Safety: Strict adherence to High Voltage (HV) safety protocols and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Candidates worked in OEM and manufacturers will be given high preference.
