Position Title: Electrical Technician

Business: Solar - O&M

Department/Function: O&M

Reporting to: Lead Electrical Technician

Position Type: Fixed Term Contract

Location: Rajasthan – MPPC, Jaisalmer

Experience: 2 years in O&M

Qualification: ITI Electrical Technician Certificate or Equivalent in Electrical Engineering

Salary: CTC up to 4 LPA

Age Limit: Maximum 20 – 35 Years

Roles & Responsibilities

Active participation and coordination with all concerned agencies during pre-commissioning, commissioning, HOTO, and post-commissioning for stabilization of the plant and O&M operations.

Perform preventive maintenance of installed equipment as per schedule and attend breakdowns on an immediate basis.

Provide support and ensure timely completion of all kinds of maintenance activities to minimize equipment/plant downtime.

Follow the instructions of the Lead Technician.

Monitor the plant through SCADA (on-site or remotely).

Follow instructions from the control center and Grid Coordinator in coordination with the Lead Technician.

Maintain records of all events, breakdowns, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and preventive maintenance activities.

Prepare daily logbooks.

Perform visual inspection of the plant regularly.

Daily check of all installed equipment status through SCADA system.

Take corrective actions to rectify any faults in the system.

Follow instructions for safe and smooth operations at the site.

Support the team to ensure trouble-free operations on site.

Provide necessary technical and non-technical support.

Be responsible for Solar Plant O&M.

Regularly monitor and analyze inverter and all other plant equipment performance to meet design standards and target KPIs.

Liaise with external and internal agencies if required to ensure smooth O&M.

Be ready to stay at the site to manage operations, meet all KPIs, and ensure satisfaction from all concerned departments and agencies.

Update all Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, and other records in the company or owner-provided CMMS digital platform.

Perform plant performance analysis and take corrective actions to optimize performance and ensure smooth operation while meeting set targets and KPIs.

Ensure adherence to HSE compliance and safe, secure operations at the site.

Keep a record of all used spare parts and timely inform the respective authority.

Attend all Safety and Technical training sessions facilitated by the company.

Qualifications

ITI / Technician Certificate or Equivalent in Electrical Engineering

Technical Experience & Other Competencies

Minimum 2 years of experience in the Electrical field and at least 1 year of experience in Solar Plant (Operation & Maintenance).

Should be computer literate.
