Job Description

The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment used in the production and manufacturing process to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations. Key Responsibilities Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical equipment, machinery, panels, and control systems. Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of production machines. Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, control panels, PLC panels, sensors, VFDs, and wiring systems. Ensure proper functioning of power distribution systems, lighting, and earthing. Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Coordinate with production team to minimize machine downtime. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company policies. Maintain maintenance logs, reports, and records. Assist in new machine installation, commissioning, and testing. Identify and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and safety. Required Skills & QualificationsDiploma / ITI in Electrical or relevant field. Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, starters, relays, and panels. Basic knowledge of PLCs and automation preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in shifts and under pressure. Department: Production / Maintenance Location: Factory / Plant The Wireman is responsible for electrical wiring, installation, and support activities in production and manufacturing facilities under the guidance of senior technicians. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical wiring of machines, panels, and factory infrastructure. Assist in installation of electrical equipment, switches, sockets, lights, and conduits. Support Electrical Technicians during maintenance and breakdown repairs. Identify basic electrical faults and report to seniors. Ensure proper cable dressing, labeling, and safety practices. Follow electrical safety guidelines and standard operating procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas. Assist in preventive maintenance activities. Required Skills & QualificationsITI Wireman / Electrical Trade certification. Basic understanding of electrical wiring, tools, and safety practices. Ability to read simple wiring diagrams. Physically fit and willing to work in shifts.
