Electrical Engineer – Job Description

Location: Yelahanka, Bangalore.
Reports To: Chief Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Engineer to manage and maintain all electrical systems and equipment within our hotel and resort premises. The ideal candidate should ensure uninterrupted power supply, efficient energy usage, and compliance with all safety and operational standards to support a seamless guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, HVAC controls, elevators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and backup generators.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical panels, DB boards, wiring, and safety devices.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house operations.
• Support all departments by ensuring uninterrupted operation of essential electrical equipment and services.
• Monitor and maintain records of energy consumption and electrical usage for energy-saving initiatives.
• Supervise contractors and service providers for outsourced electrical work.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local regulations, hotel safety standards, and fire safety protocols.
• Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and equipment related to electrical systems.
• Assist in renovation, expansion, and upgrade projects within the property.
• Provide training and guidance to junior technicians or electricians as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical qualification.
• Minimum 1–3 years of electrical maintenance experience in the hospitality industry (hotel/resort preferred).
• Good knowledge of building electrical systems, load distribution, generator operation, UPS, elevators, and BMS (Building Management Systems).
• Familiarity with HACCP standards for electrical equipment in F&B and kitchen areas is an advantage.
• Ability to work in shifts, weekends, or emergency call-outs as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
