Electrical Design Engineer EPC & APC Turnkey Projects

Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for EPC turnkey projects, including PLC logic, automation, control panels, P&ID updates, cable schedules, and site execution. Ensure functional, safe, and compliant installation aligned with project specifications and timelines. Provide technical support to project teams and clients while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and commercial requirements.

Role & responsibilities

Develop detailed electrical designs, schematics, and layouts for APC and material handling systems - Write, configure, and test PLC programs for site automation and process control - Design and oversee control panel layouts, cable schedules, motor control circuits, DOL starters, Star delta systems, VFDs, and instrumentation logic - Create and update P&ID diagrams, IO lists, and as-built drawings - Conduct panel testing, commissioning, and troubleshoot electrical systems on-site - Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and instrumentation teams for integration and clash-free design - Support procurement and vendor evaluation for electrical components and automation systems - Conduct feasibility studies and ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and statutory regulations - Utilize AutoCAD and ERP/SAP for design documentation and project tracking - Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams, clients, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle - Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices in electrical design

Deliverables

- Accurate electrical design packages (schematics, wiring, PLC logic, BOM) - PLC programs and panels ready for site commissioning - Smooth integration of electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical systems on site - Timely resolution of design queries during execution - Compliance with ISO, safety, and statutory norms - Successful commissioning and handover of electrical systems - High-quality documentation and design records for internal and client review

Skills Required

- Electrical design for EPC & APC turnkey projects - PLC programming, SCADA integration, and control logic development - Motors, drives, VFDs, DOL starters, Star delta systems, control panels, instrumentation - P&ID interpretation, cable routing, and panel layout design - Coordination with multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical, Civil, Instrumentation) - Hands-on site support for installation, testing, and commissioning - AutoCAD proficiency and ERP/SAP usage for project tracking - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills - Communication skills in English, Hindi, and other languages advantageous

Travel Requirement
