ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Qualifications & Experience:

B E Electrical and Electronics with 4 to 8 years of experience project orientated heavy Engineering Company.

• Assist the marketing team in closing the order by meeting the customer and providing best optimum technical solutions.
• Attend kick-off meetings with the marketing team and understand the project requirements.
• Assist project manager/s in preparing budgets, strategy documents and billing break-up plans for assigned projects.
• Assist project manager/s and interact with suppliers in order to obtain electrical components as required in the release specifications for assigned projects.
• Study of the tender / purchase order document and prepare the specifications for the individual electrical equipment.
• Assist project manager/s in identifying, preparing specifications, ordering and timely dispatch of all electrical components
• Prepare drawings /specifications schedule by complying to system requirements
• Comply with national / international standards while designing / approving specifications
• Prepare detailed Singe Line Diagram (SLD), plant layouts, switchyard layouts and release themon time.
• Coordinate with customer/ consultant and get necessary approvals from them for the drawings/specifications as agreed in contract.
• Prepare Technical Purchase Specifications (TPS) and provide the procurement team with these specifications.
• Coordinate with mechanical design engineer for necessary interface inputs.
• Assist the project managers in handing over the designs to E & C team for erection at the project site.
• Assist E & C team in erecting the project at the given site.
• Participate in project reviews with the project manager and provide the required information.
• Coordinate with the project buyer in order to validate technical specifications of the offers made by the suppliers
• Validate the design drawings received from the suppliers and assist the production buyer in sending those drawings to the suppliers for manufacturing of components
• Participate and provide support during special technical requirements and certifications
• Guide and provide necessary support to draftsmen and review their work
• Actively participate in value engineering activities
• Visit project sites as per requirement to support commissioning activities.
• Visit suppliers for technical discussions / inspection support as and when required.
