Manager/Senior Engineer Quality Assurance (Manufacturing) B Fouress Company in Hoskote, Bangalore, manufactures turbines and installs electro-mechanical equipment for small hydro power plants in India and overseas. For more information, visit www.bflhydro.com. Qualifications: BE Mechanical Engineering Experience: Minimum 10 to 12 years in Manufacturing Quality Inspection. Technical Knowledge - Knowledge of QA systems & standards - Knowledge of ISO 9001 system - Knowledge of problem solving tools - Knowledge on working principle of gear box, bearings, lube oil system, hydraulic power pack, cranes, industrial valves, turbines & pipes and fittings - Knowledge on techniques of NDT, foundry, welding, casting, forging, fabrication & heat treatment NDT/NDE related technical experience and/or qualified to pass Level 2 certification in RT, UT, PT, and/or MT is a plus - Working knowledge of ASME and AWS codes - Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings - Knowledge of QMS, ISO, CE requirements etc. - Knowledge of FMEA, KAIZEN & QC tools - Knowledge on Internal Audit process. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Be responsible for the planning, organizing and managing of all activities of inspections. Continuously improve QA inspection process and procedures. Manage supplier performance and conduct audits periodically; ensure timely resolution of supplier failures, suggest and implement corrective actions and preventive actions Analyse failures, suggest and implement corrective and preventive actions to respond to customer / site complaints. Conduct audits, create audit finding reports, determine proper corrective and preventive actions and close out all audit findings. Assist the Chief of QA in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system. Build a team for managing all inspection activities. Implement the product assurance program to prevent or eliminate defects in products. Manage the supplier quality program and internal audit program for business development. Develop QA plans and other required process control procedures & check sheets to ensure goods meet specified quality standards. Conduct regular quality reviews to minimize deviations across all processes Inspect and provide feedback to the production & assembly teams to minimize production loss and delays. Inspect all raw materials received to ensure they meet specifications. Responsible for timely calibration on measuring instruments and review of all machines. Responsible for maintain tractability for all materials / assemblies inspected (Hard & soft). Continuous Improvement Ensure adherence to all applicable standards. Implement best practices across plants and sites. Optimize and improve on existing quality plans & Check sheets. Work closely with Engineering to support process and product improvement initiatives. Implement, monitor, control and continuously improve the BFL Quality Management System that complies with ISO 9001 and other quality standards as applicable.
