Electrical Design Engineer

As an Electrical Design Engineer at Envigaurd, you will be responsible for designing electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects. Your role will involve creating detailed electrical layouts, load calculations, and technical specifications while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will collaborate with multiple teams, use design software tools, and support project execution through installation and commissioning phases. Additionally, you will participate in technical discussions with stakeholders and prepare documentation for project records. Key Responsibilities: - Design SLDs, electrical layouts, lighting plans, cable routing, earthing, and panel sizing for industrial and commercial facilities. - Prepare load calculations, voltage drop calculations, BOQs, and technical specifications. - Select and size electrical components such as DBs, panels, cables, switchgear, UPS, and VFDs. - Ensure system design meets IS, IEC, NBC, and local electrical board regulations. - Coordinate electrical services with HVAC, plumbing, fire systems, BMS, and gas piping teams. - Utilize tools like AutoCAD, Dialux/Relux for design drawings and simulations. - Support project and site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning. - Engage in technical discussions with clients, consultants, architects, and vendors. - Prepare as-built drawings and assist in O&M documentation. Required Soft Skills: - Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and client coordination. - Ability to prioritize tasks across multiple projects, meet deadlines, and multitask effectively. - Collaborative mindset for working with cross-functional teams. - Excellent documentation skills for reports, compliance records, and design documentation. - Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills during design or site challenges. - Professional behavior with a sense of ownership, especially during site follow-ups. Eligibility & Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech/MTech) in Electrical Engineering. - 3 to 4 years of experience in electrical design for HVAC, MEP, industrial, or commercial projects. - Strong understanding of HT/LT distribution, panel design, transformer/DG/UPS integration. - Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent design tools. - Experience in cleanroom electrical design or data centers is advantageous. - Excellent coordination skills for multidisciplinary teamwork.
