Job Title : Li-ion Battery Recycling Chemical Plant Operator Location : MiniMines Cleantech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Doddaballapur Job Type : Full-time Reports to: Shift In charge / Plant Manager Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Li-ion Battery Recycling Chemical Plant Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in operating and monitoring the various processes involved in the recycling of Li-ion batteries. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective operation of machinery, equipment, and the overall plant process during your shift. Key Responsibilities: Plant Operations: Operate and monitor the chemical processes involved in the recycling of Li-ion batteries. Ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment such as Filters/separators, chemical reactors, dryers, pumps and control panel, etc. Maintain the operational parameters (temperature, pressure, pH etc.) as per process requirements. Perform routine checks on equipment and systems to ensure smooth operation and identify any potential issues early. Safety & Compliance: Strictly follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Adhere to environmental and safety standards, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and chemicals. Report any accidents, unsafe conditions, or equipment malfunctions to the Shift In charge or Plant Manager immediately. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform minor maintenance tasks on equipment as needed and assist the maintenance team with troubleshooting and repairs. Identify and report any malfunctioning equipment to the maintenance team for prompt resolution. Quality Control & Monitoring: Monitor the quality of recycled materials to ensure they meet required standards. Collect and document samples for quality analysis and ensure that all recycling processes align with company specifications. Record operational data and maintain accurate logs of plant activities, including production outputs and any deviations from standard procedures. Waste Management: Ensure proper disposal of waste materials in line with environmental regulations and company guidelines. Follow prescribed procedures for handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials during the recycling process. Communication & Reporting: Communicate effectively with the Shift In charge and other team members regarding plant operations, issues, and performance. Report any equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety incidents as soon as they occur. Training & Development: Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance technical skills, safety knowledge, and environmental compliance. Stay updated with the latest operational and safety standards in the field of Li-ion battery recycling. Qualifications & Requirements: Education: Minimum qualification: Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related technical field. Experience: For Diploma in Chemical Engi. - Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a chemical or industrial plant, preferably in battery recycling or related fields. For ITI - Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in a chemical or industrial plant, preferably in battery recycling or related fields. For B.Sc./M.Sc. - Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in a chemical or industrial plant, preferably in battery recycling or related fields. Experience with hazardous chemicals and materials is an advantage. Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of chemical processes, equipment, and plant operations. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and resolve minor technical issues. Solid understanding of safety protocols and the ability to implement them effectively. Basic understanding of Li-ion battery recycling processes is a plus. Ability to work in a team and follow instructions. Proficiency in using plant monitoring systems and basic computer applications. Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Responsible and proactive in identifying and solving problems. Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Working Conditions: Work will be conducted in a chemical plant environment with exposure to machinery, chemicals, and industrial processes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn at all times in designated areas.
