Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to design, develop, and test electrical systems for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. The role involves preparing electrical drawings, performing simulations, selecting components, and supporting manufacturing and installation teams.

Location: Trivandrum (In-Office)

Experience: 3–5 years

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using CAD tools (AutoCAD, EPLAN, SolidWorks).
  • Conduct simulations and analyses (SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink).
  • Select and size electrical components (circuit breakers, transformers, switches, etc.).
  • Perform calculations: load flow, short circuit, power factor correction.
  • Ensure compliance with safety codes and industry standards (IEC/NEC/UL).
  • Provide support during installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with mechanical/software teams and participate in design reviews.
  • Manage project schedules and prepare documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related).
  • 3–5 years of electrical design experience.
  • Hands-on experience with residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
  • Skilled in AutoCAD, EPLAN, SolidWorks, MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Good technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with embedded systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with industrial/commercial electrical codes.
  • Ability to contribute to process improvements.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
