Note: Site assignment that will allow you to demonstrate your expertise and familiarise yourself with our design direction and "Cornerstone" guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute precise "Design Capture" assignments for UK projects, strictly adhering to provided "Cornerstone design guidelines" and project examples.
• Develop comprehensive 2D AutoCAD electrical drawings (layouts, schematics, SLDs, riser diagrams) for various Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, including:
• Access Control Systems
• Audio Visual Systems
• Broadcasting / Public Address Systems
• CCTV Surveillance Systems
• Disabled Toilet Alarm Systems
• ICT / Structured Cabling Systems
• Perform accurate electrical calculations: cable sizing, voltage drop, protective device selection, fault current) in compliance with

  BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)

  and other relevant UK electrical standards.
• Produce detailed electrical schematic diagrams and ensure all drawings incorporate correct UK electrical drawing conventions, symbols (IEC/BS standards), and wire colour codes (Brown-Live, Blue-Neutral, Green/Yellow-Earth).
• Collaborate effectively with project managers and the design team, providing clear communication and technical insights.
• Ensure that all deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to project timelines.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-5 years of proven experience in CAD Design and Drawing, specifically with strong expertise in electrical engineering drawings and calculations.
• Demonstrable proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software for electrical design.

• In-depth knowledge of UK electrical standards, particularly BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), including its latest amendments (e.g., 18th Edition).

• Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles for ELV systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, compliant designs.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills to articulate technical details and collaborate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working on projects for the UK market or with UK electrical consultants.
• Relevant certifications in electrical Design and Drawing.
• Familiarity with "Cornerstone" design methodologies or similar corporate design standards.
