Position Title: eClinicalWorks (eCW) Implementation Specialist

Reports To: Practice Administrator / Operations Manager Department: Clinical Operations / IT

Location: Anywhere in India

Employment Type: Full-Time / Remote

Position Overview -

The eClinicalWorks (eCW) Implementation Specialist is responsible for optimizing the use of the eCW electronic health record (EHR) system within the clinic. This role ensures smooth adoption of eCW features across departments (providers, front office, billing), maintains system version compliance, and drives continuous improvement in workflows to enhance operational efficiency and patient care.

Key Responsibilities -

System Optimization & Feature Management

  • Research, test, and recommend new eCW features to improve clinical and administrative workflows.
  • Stay updated with eCW releases and enhancements to identify opportunities for adoption.
  • Create and submit support tickets to enable or troubleshoot features and ensure timely resolution.

Provider & Staff Engagement

  • Train providers and staff on new features and best practices.
  • Monitor usage and adoption, providing coaching and refresher sessions as needed.
  • Gather feedback from users to identify pain points and propose solutions.

Billing, Scheduling & Front Office Support

  • Explore eCW billing, claims, and front-office modules to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the billing team to troubleshoot workflow or system-related issues.
  • Optimize scheduling templates, patient check-in processes, and other front-desk functions.

System Maintenance & Version Control

  • Ensure all workstations run the latest supported version of eCW.
  • Coordinate with IT for updates, patches, and troubleshooting to maintain system stability.
  • Maintain uniformity of configuration across all devices and locations.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of enabled features, training sessions, and version upgrades.
  • Prepare periodic reports summarizing adoption rates, outstanding tickets, and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications -

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, IT, Healthcare Administration, or related field (preferred).

Experience -

  • 1–3 years of experience with eClinicalWorks (preferred) or similar EHR systems.
  • Experience in medical practice operations, billing, or front office coordination is a plus.

Skills -

  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows, EHR systems, and healthcare operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and training abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Performance Metrics -

  • Feature Adoption Rate: Percentage of new eCW features successfully implemented and used by staff.
  • Ticket Resolution Efficiency: Average time from ticket creation to resolution.
  • Training Completion: Percentage of staff trained on new features within a set timeframe.
  • System Compliance: Percentage of workstations running the latest eCW version.
  • Process Improvement: Reduction in billing errors, appointment scheduling errors, or provider complaints due to system inefficiencies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
