As we expand our modelling and evidence-based solutions, Indence Health is seeking a Mid/senior-Level Economic Modeller to join our team in Kolkata, India. This role is well-suited for an experienced professional who combines strong technical modelling expertise with mentoring and client-facing capabilities. 

Job Title: Lead/Principal consultant 

Location: Kolkata, India 

The Economic Modeller will play a critical role in leading the development of high-quality economic models while contributing to client engagement and business growth initiatives. The successful candidate will also support the development of junior team members and help translate complex analyses into clear, client-ready outputs. 

Key Responsibilities: 

- Conceptualize, design, and develop economic models (e.g., cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, and budget impact models) 

- Lead and review model development, validation, sensitivity, and scenario analyses 

- Train, mentor, and review the work of junior analysts and modellers 

- Lead and support client communications, including technical discussions and presentations 

- Translate clinical, epidemiological, and economic evidence into robust model structures and assumptions 

- Prepare clear documentation, reports, and model summaries for internal and external stakeholders 

- Contribute to business development activities, including drafting technical inputs for business proposals and project scoping 

- Ensure models align with international HTA guidelines and best methodological practices 

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across HEOR, analytics, and strategy 

Key Skills and Experience: 

- Master’s degree or higher in Health Economics, Economics, Biostatistics, Public Health, or a related discipline 

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in healthcare economic modelling 

- Proven experience in conceptualizing economic models from early-stage problem  definition 

- Strong experience with cost-effectiveness, budget impact, and value-based modelling 

- Proficiency in Excel and/or programming tools such as R or Python 

- Experience mentoring junior team members or leading small project teams 

- Client-facing experience, including presenting technical outputs and managing discussions 

- Exposure to HTA submissions and payer evidence requirements is highly desirable 

- Strong written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills 

- Ability to contribute to business proposals and support growth initiatives
