Job Summary:

Key Account Manager – Marketplace

Key Responsibilities (KRAs):

  1. Advertising Campaign Management

  • Plan, execute, and optimize ad campaigns on e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto, etc.).
  • Manage Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display campaigns.
  • Drive performance through bidding strategies, targeting, and budget allocation.
  1. Revenue & Sales Growth

  • Strategically grow revenue and maintain positive ROI across all marketplace platforms.
  • Continuously improve Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and boost Average Order Value (AOV).
  1. Performance Optimization & Efficiency

  • Optimize ad funnels and customer journeys using data-driven bid strategies.
  • Reduce CPC and improve CTR and CVR through keyword strategies and ongoing A/B testing.
  1. Budget & Resource Allocation

  • Allocate and manage advertising budgets effectively.
  • Monitor campaign profitability and maximize ROAS while maintaining cost efficiency.
  1. Cross-functional Collaboration & Market Strategy

  • Collaborate with product, sales, and creative teams to execute cohesive campaigns.
  • Build tailored strategies for product categories and define effective business models for priority segments.
  1. Creative & Content Optimization

  • Work with creative teams to develop compelling ad content across formats.
  • Continuously refine ad copy and visuals to enhance performance metrics.
  1. Training & Team Development

  • Mentor junior PPC/ads specialists and foster a performance-focused team culture.
  • Conduct regular training and share best practices to upskill the team.
  1. Seasonal & Promotional Campaign Execution

  • Plan and execute advertising strategies for seasonal events and major sale periods.
  • Analyze and optimize promotional campaigns to maximize impact and revenue lift.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Advertising Campaign Management

  • No. of campaigns launched & optimized.
  • CTR improvement across all campaigns.
  • Conversion rate (CVR) growth and CPA reduction.

Revenue & Sales Growth

  • Total monthly revenue (Target: ₹1.75 Cr+).
  • YoY / MoM revenue growth rates.
  • Flipkart Ads ROI (Target: 2.6+).
  • Platform-wide AOV improvement.

Performance Optimization

  • CPC reduction via keyword tuning.
  • Conversion uplift via funnel-based strategies.
  • Campaign lift through A/B testing insights.

Budget & Resource Allocation

  • % of campaigns meeting or exceeding profitability.
  • Efficient use of budget across channels.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Successful go-to-market execution for product categories.
  • Impact of category business models on performance.
  • Inter-departmental project execution rate.

Creative & Content Optimization

  • No. of creatives tested and iterated.
  • CTR and engagement improvement due to creative changes.

Training & Team Development

  • No. of training sessions conducted.
  • Measurable uplift in team performance post-training.

Seasonal & Promotional Campaigns

  • % sales uplift during campaign periods.
  • Execution success of calendar-based promotional plans.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or relevant field.
  • Proven experience in marketplace performance marketing and account management.
  • Expertise in Amazon Ads, Flipkart Ads, and other e-commerce platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency in tools like Excel, Google Analytics, and platform ad dashboards.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Leadership mindset with a hands-on approach to execution.
