Job Description

Scrap charge enhancement is a key enabler to meet our Sustainability Goals. Accordingly, JSW Steel forayed into Steel Recycling & is setting up its 1st Scrap Processing plant in Khopoli, Maharashtra for supply of quality steel scrap to the Steel Melt Shops. The project execution is underway. This role will be critical in driving the same & managing plant operations subsequently.

Role Scope & Key Deliverables:

Drive end-to-end project execution from planning to commissioning, ensuring timely deliveries, approvals, and plant readiness.
Develop operations ramp-up plan & Formulate Quality Action Plans (QAP) for raw materials (RM) and finished goods (FG).

Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators):

Close Coordination with OEMs to ensure on-time equipment delivery in line with plant commissioning schedules.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Projects, Liaison, Finance, Legal) to drive smooth project execution.
Oversee pre-startup compliance, statutory approvals, and licensing in coordination with PR & Safety teams.
Plan and supervise equipment trials, aligning with raw material requirements with sourcing team.
Formulate and implement Quality Action Plans (QAPs) in line with business objectives.
Optimize costs & resources to ensure efficient plant operations aligned with the Annual Business Plan (ABP).
Enhance equipment reliability and uptime through cost-efficient maintenance programs.

Critical Tasks

Plant commissioning activities & pre-startup readiness during the project phase.
Operations ramp-up plans, including resource allocation.
Quality Action Plans (QAP) for incoming raw materials & finished goods.
