Description
Role We are looking for a Senior Android Developer who is passionate about mobile platforms and translating code into user-friendly apps. You'll be a part of a fast-paced, world-class engineering team working on our flagship mobile products with massive user adoption. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a product-focused, agile environment and wants to make a visible impact. Responsibilities Here's how you'll shine : Design and build advanced, scalable, and modular Android applications using Kotlin and Java. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability. Translate business and product requirements into technical solutions. Integrate RESTful APIs, Web Services, and third-party libraries (e.g., Retrofit, Dagger, Glide, Firebase). Write clean, testable code with unit and integration tests using tools like JUnit, Espresso, Mockito. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application. Stay updated with the latest Android trends, libraries, architecture components (MVVM, Jetpack), and best practices. Mentor and support junior developers on the team. Conduct code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of team development processes. Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers to build a seamless experience. Qualifications/ Key Requirements 3 to 4 years of hands-on Android development experience. Strong command over Kotlin and Java with deep understanding of Android SDK. Experience in MVVM / MVP architecture, Jetpack Components (Room, LiveData, ViewModel). Proficient in integrating APIs, managing offline storage, background tasks, and push notifications (FCM). Good understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines. Familiarity with version control systems like Git and collaborative tools (JIRA, Confluence). Experience with CI/CD tools and mobile release processes (Play Store deployments). Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance tuning skills. Understanding of app security best practices and secure coding. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field from a reputed institute. Nice To Have Experience with modular architecture and multi-module projects. Exposure to Jetpack Compose and modern UI frameworks. Knowledge of Automotive, E-commerce, or Fintech domains. Contributions to open-source Android projects or active GitHub profile.
