Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Draftsman with 2–3 years of experience in preparing P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) and related technical drawings. The ideal candidate should possess sound knowledge of drafting tools (preferably Auto CAD) and basic understanding of process systems and instrumentation.

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Prepare and revise P&ID drawings, GA drawings, and layout diagrams as per project requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with process engineers and project teams to understand system requirements and translate them into accurate technical drawings.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and ensure proper documentation as per internal protocols
• Interpret technical specifications, datasheets, and process flow diagrams (PFDs).
• Ensure drawing accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Coordinate with other departments to incorporate any design changes
• Ensure timely submission of drawings for internal and client approvals.
• Participate in internal project meetings & reviews as required.

Desired profile of the candidate :

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Auto CAD (2D drafting is a must).
• Familiarity with P&ID standards, symbols, and drafting practices.
• Basic knowledge of process equipment, valves, instrumentation, and piping components.

Soft Skills:

• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the design team.

Qualification

ITI / Diploma/ BE/ BTech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Required Skill Set

Fluent is AutoCAD

Min. Exp.

2–3 years of relevant experience in preparing P&ID and mechanical drawings. Experience in drafting fabrication drawings, skid layouts or 3D modelling tools like Solid Works/Inventor.
