Job Description

About The Opportunity

We operate in the IT Services & Cloud Infrastructure Consulting sector, building cloud-native platforms and managed-cloud solutions for enterprise customers. We are hiring an on-site DevOps Engineer to design, deploy and operate containerized workloads on Google Cloud Platform, focusing on Kubernetes (GKE) and Docker-based delivery.Role & Responsibilities

Architect, provision and maintain production-grade Kubernetes clusters on GCP (GKE) ensuring scalability, reliability and cost-efficiency.
Containerize applications using Docker and manage container lifecycle, image registries and secure image promotion workflows.
Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform to automate cluster and cloud resource provisioning across environments.
Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI) for automated build, test, and deployment to Kubernetes.
Implement observability and alerting using Prometheus and cloud-native logging/monitoring to reduce MTTR and improve SLOs.
Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, participate in on-call rotations and drive reliability improvements.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and production deployments on GKE.
Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes concepts: deployments, StatefulSets, networking, RBAC and autoscaling.
Strong Docker experience: image creation, multi-stage builds, registries and security best practices.
Experience with Terraform for IaC and managing cloud resource lifecycle.
Practical experience building CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or equivalent) and release automation.

Preferred

Familiarity with Helm charts and templating for application deployments.
Experience with Prometheus (metrics), alerting and dashboarding for SRE practices.
Prior experience working in on-site, client-facing cloud operations or managed services models.
