Job Description

Major Responsibilities:


  1. Manages litigation, repossession and recovery for all credit products. Provides supervision and leadership to a team to ensure that regulatory compliance is consistent, process efficiency is achieved, and business results are met.

  2. Lead and manage a team of at least 20 employees in the Global Capabilities Center, overseeing customer management processes in the areas of repossession, litigation and recovery and other related activities.

  3. Communicate the local action plan; explain how this relates to the function's strategy and action plan and to the broader organization's mission and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goal

  4. Manage and report on team performance; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project/account team members and hold people accountable for achieving them, taking appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team/personal objectives.

  5. Supervise a team providing administrative and service operations support and have deep expertise in the service operations provided by that team.

  6. Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.

  7. Work within established procedures to achieve specified goals.

  8. Drive employee engagement, development, and performance through coaching, mentoring, and training programs

  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, enhance service delivery, and achieve departmental goals.

  10. Drive innovation and change management by actively learning about the developments in the industry.


Skills Needed

1. Strong leadership and people management skills to lead a large team and foster a positive work environment.

2. Understanding of customer management processes for litigation, repossession and recovery of lending operations.

3. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members, stakeholders, and customers.

4. Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

5. Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address complex issues and drive continuous improvement.

6. Proficiency working with loan systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Experience and:

2. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in lending operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

3. Demonstrated experience in litigation, repossession and recovery or advanced collection activities and team leadership

5. Experience in a shared services environment or Global Capabilities Center is preferred.

6. Continuous learning and development in accounting practices, leadership, and employee engagement.

Education

Post graduate/Post graduate in banking and finance with a reputed institution.
