1. Role Objective:
To plan, coordinate, and monitor Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaigns under Swachh Andhra Mission (SBM 2.0) at the district and ULB levels in Andhra Pradesh, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement, community participation, and documentation of innovations and best practices for state-level learning and scale-up.. 2. Key Areas of Responsibility:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: District & ULB Liaison
Be based in the allocated district headquarters (ULB). Build coordination with Municipal Commissioners and senior officials of ULBs. Collaborate with ward secretariats and nodal officers of key line-departments at district/mandal/ULB levels. Represent the PMU in district/ULB-level meetings related to Swachh Andhra IEC activities. Act as a liaison between the state PMU and ULB nodal officials for campaign planning, execution, and reporting. IEC Campaign Rollout & Planning
Disseminate state/PMU-designed IEC content to ULB nodal officers.
Facilitate planning and execution of local campaigns, Swachh Andhra Day, and special events. Ensure systematic amplification of approved IEC content through social media and community channels. Plan and support Localized thematic IEC campaigns at the district level ULBs on 1. Solid Waste Management. 2. Used water Management. 3. Sustainable usage of Toilet. 4. End of open defecation. 5. Promoting the safety and dignity of the sanitation workers. Monitoring & Reporting
Monitor timely distribution and display of IEC campaign materials.
Conduct field visits to assess visibility, engagement, and adoption. Facilitate online/offline surveys, quizzes, and monitoring tools to assess knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) of communities. Provide structured feedback to the PMU with qualitative and quantitative evidence. Stakeholder Mobilization & Engagement
Develop and maintain a database of stakeholders (ULB-wise) including FBOs, CBOs, NGOs, youth networks (NSS, NCC, BSGs, NYS, etc.). Engage local leaders, influencers, schools, and colleges to amplify & drive IEC campaigns. Support PMU-led capacity building and training initiatives at district and ULB levels. Ensure effective behavior change and citizen participation through structured outreach activities Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
Capture successful case stories, best practices, quotes, visuals, and local innovations for knowledge sharing and state level dissemination. Progress reporting on Performance Indicators to measure campaign reach, effectiveness and Impact. Prepare monthly IEC reports with highlights from the district. Share promising practices with the state PMU for replication and scale-up. 3. Key Deliverables
Campaign & Event Implementation: Coordinate and report on Swachh Andhra Day, local campaigns, competitions, and public events with documented evidence of participation and outcomes. Stakeholder & Influencer Engagement: Facilitate active involvement of local leaders, institutions, and influencers in IEC campaigns to enhance outreach and ensure community ownership. Monitoring Reports with Field Evidence: Submit monthly monitoring reports capturing visibility, community engagement, field feedback, challenges, and recommendations. Documentation of Innovations & Best Practices: Capture and submit 2–3 case stories per month (with visuals, community voices, and local innovations). Dissemination & Rollout of IEC Materials: Ensure 100% coverage of ULBs for timely distribution, display, and adaptation of IEC materials.
