District Coordinator


Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and committed District Coordinator to lead and manage education-focused initiatives at the district level. The District Coordinator will serve as the key liaison between the organization, government education departments, local institutions, and communities. This role involves overseeing project implementation, maintaining strong relationships with government officials, monitoring field activities, and ensuring effective delivery of program goals in alignment with organizational and governmental standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

Act as the primary representative of the organization at the district level, liaising with the District Education Office, local government bodies, and other stakeholders.
Facilitate the implementation of educational projects in coordination with government officials, schools, teachers, and NGO partners.
Organize and conduct regular meetings, workshops, and training sessions for teachers, principals, and education department staff.
Ensure timely collection, documentation, and reporting of data related to project activities, outcomes, and impact.
Monitor field activities to ensure project objectives are met, and provide regular feedback to the central team.
Support the training and capacity building of field staff, volunteers, and partner organizations.
Prepare periodic reports, case studies, and success stories for internal and external stakeholders.
Identify risks and challenges at the field level and propose solutions to management.
Facilitate smooth coordination for government approvals, MoUs, and official communications as needed.
Promote community participation and awareness for program sustainability.
Maintain detailed records of meetings, field visits, and interactions with government officials.

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree (preferably Master s) in Education, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field.
4-5 years of experience working with educational government departments and NGOs.
Proven experience in project coordination, government liaison, and education program delivery at the district or grassroots level.
Strong understanding of government education systems, policies, and operational structures.
Experience conducting training sessions and community mobilization activities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital communication platforms.

Skills

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to dynamic field realities.
Sensitivity to local cultures and ability to work with diverse communities.
Fluency in local language(s); proficiency in English preferred.
Willingness to travel extensively within the district and nearby regions.
