Job Description

JOB TITLE

Research, Monitoring & Evaluation (RME) Intern

SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our Research, Monitoring & Evaluation (RME) team. You will help design questionnaires, collect and analyze data, prepare reports, and support implementation of M&E frameworks across programs. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in data-driven decision-making and program evaluation in the development/non-profit sector.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with data collection, entry, cleaning, and quantitative analysis for ongoing M&E activities.

Support the development and testing of monitoring tools (questionnaires, surveys, dashboards).

Participate in field visits for baseline, midline, and endline assessments.

Review program data and documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

Contribute to drafting reports, presentations, and research briefs.

Help track key project indicators and outcomes across programs.

Maintain organized records of research tools, datasets, and documentation.

Provide logistical and administrative support to the RME team as required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor s or Master s (completed or in progress) in Social Sciences, Economics, Public Policy, Computer Science, or allied fields.

Basic understanding of research methodologies and data analysis techniques.

Proficient in MS Excel; familiarity with SPSS, STATA, or Power BI is a plus.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organization and attention to detail.

Willingness to work hard, step outside comfort zones, and incorporate feedback.

PREFERRED SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

Experience in data collection, field research, and supporting large-scale surveys.

Familiarity with M&E frameworks (e.g., logical framework).

Knowledge of qualitative analysis, reporting, and documentation.

Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and manage timelines.

Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a dynamic team environment.

Strong problem-solving skills; commitment to ethical data handling and confidentiality.
