Position: Senior Associate Impact & Research

Location: Mumbai

Reports to: Manager – Impact & Research

Position Summary:

As a Senior Associate/Associate, you will play a crucial role in advancing Akanksha’s monitoring and evaluation (M&E) efforts at both programmatic and organizational levels. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement data tools, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and convert insights into impactful recommendations and visualizations. Your work will inform strategic decisions, strengthen program outcomes, and enhance communication with donors, partners, and internal stakeholders.

About the Impact & Research Team:

The team drives data and research excellence by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting insights across Akanksha’s key programs — the School Project, Alumni Program, and Project Setu. It designs M&E frameworks, manages data systems, and collaborates with internal and external partners to generate evidence that strengthens programs and contributes to the broader education ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and manage M&E frameworks and tools.
• Analyze data and create insights-driven reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with teams to embed data in decision-making.
• Build capacity for data collection and quality assurance.
• Support research projects and maintain education-sector data.

Requirements:

Experience:

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in database management and analytics (descriptive & predictive).
• Skilled in MS Office, Google Workspace, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
• Knowledge of SPSS, STATA, R, or EdERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork abilities.
