Job Description

Director of Operations

Primarily Remote but required to be based on Bangalore

Role Overview:

The Director of Operations will be responsible for owning all aspects of the operational processes. From designing, implementation, staffing, quality checking of the various loan origination, credit underwriting processes. This leader will need to ensure operational excellence and work closely with the parent organizations US based teams/stakeholders to ensure the processes meet high standards. This role requires a strong understanding of US small business term loan lending, SBA experience is preferred, as well as proven track record of managing and growing large high performing teams.

JobRequirements:

  • Manage the daily operations associated with the originations and fulfilment of commercial loans.
  • Help develop scalable workflows, SOPs, and controls that lead to accurate and fast processes.
  • Accuracy Monitoring and Quality Control. Establish a strong framework to validate accuracy performance and audit teams/individuals across systems and processes.
  • Train and lead a team of process managers and senior managers to follow standardized accuracy process and how to monitor team performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams from product, HR, and compliance to ensure teams are optimizing their workflow and being held accountable.
  • Manage and track performance metrics for each position within area of responsibility and lead staff toward exceeding stated business objective.
  • Utilize decision and reporting tools to minimize variability, improve quality and maximize profitability of the business.
  • Conduct team huddles, calibrations, and collaborate with HR on any teamwide issues.
  • Proactively send performance updates and analysis to senior leaders.
  • Primarily focus on post funding QA process and checks.

Knowledge with: SAM, Flood Certificate, 4506, Tax Transcripts, Invoices, Pay Stubs, Creating Checklists, Training new joiners, purchase sales agreement.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of lending or mortgage processing experience
  • Experience handling large team sizes of 100+ organizations
  • Experience with SBA lending is a plus
  • Any bachelor’s degree

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of the position are typical of those found in a traditional office environment. Employee will not need to walk significant distances nor lift substantial weight. Employee will need to be able to remain seated at a desk for 8-9 hours in a typical workday.
