Role Overview

Director of Operations

operational excellence

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily operations for commercial loan originations and fulfillment.
Develop scalable workflows, SOPs, and controls to ensure accurate and efficient processes.
Establish robust accuracy monitoring and quality control frameworks.
Lead and train process managers and senior managers on standardized practices and performance monitoring.
Collaborate with internal teams (Product, HR, Compliance) to optimize workflows and ensure accountability.
Manage and track performance metrics, guiding staff toward exceeding business objectives.
Leverage decision/reporting tools to reduce variability, improve quality, and maximize profitability.
Conduct team huddles, calibrations, and partner with HR on team-wide matters.
Provide senior leadership with proactive performance updates and analysis.
Focus on post-funding QA processes and checks.

Knowledge Requirements

SAM, Flood Certificate, 4506, Tax Transcripts, Invoices, Pay Stubs, Purchase/Sales Agreements.
Checklist creation and training for new joiners.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education:
Bachelor’s degree (any discipline).
Experience:

Minimum 8 years in lending or mortgage processing.
Minimum 5 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
Proven ability to manage large teams (100+ employees).
SBA lending experience is highly desirable.

Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
