Digital Tools Development Expert Position:

Digital Tools Development Expert Location: India (Delhi NCR, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand) Type: Contract (Short-term Expert Pool) About the Role: We are seeking highly experienced professionals to join as Digital Tools Development Experts to design, develop, and implement Decision Support Systems (DSS) for Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR) and related environmental projects. The role involves integrating geospatial data, remote sensing technologies, and cloud-based solutions to support large-scale restoration planning and monitoring. Key Responsibilities: - Review methodologies (e.g., ROAM) and datasets (e.g., FSI, ISRO) for DSS design and monitoring. - Develop a single-window DSS with features for site selection, investment prioritization, progress tracking, and impact evaluation. - Integrate remote sensors, mobile applications, and cloud-based data solutions ensuring compatibility with India's digital tools ecosystem. - Conduct field testing of DSS across multiple pilot sites (Delhi NCR, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand) for usability, scalability, and accuracy. - Refine DSS based on pilot feedback addressing technical and user experience issues. - Prepare training materials and user manuals for DSS, including guides for mobile app and cloud functionalities. - Collaborate with Remote Sensing and GIS Specialists to incorporate geospatial data and with stakeholder engagement teams for integration. - Provide ongoing technical support for DSS maintenance and updates throughout project duration. Required Qualifications: - Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Geospatial Technology, Software Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field. - Strong proficiency in DSS development, geospatial platforms, and cloud-based solutions. - Experience with GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS), Remote Sensing, and IoT integration. - Familiarity with FLR (Forest Landscape Restoration) processes is an advantage. - Excellent written and spoken English (CEFR Level C1). Professional Experience: - Minimum 7 years in developing Decision Support Systems or similar platforms.

Minimum 5-7 years in geospatial tools or data-driven platforms.

Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
