The ideal candidate will play a critical role in building scalable, maintainable, and robust automation frameworks for Android and iOS applications. This position demands hands-on experience with BDD practices and mobile test strategies, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and repeatable testing processes. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop robust and scalable mobile test automation frameworks using Java, Appium, and Cucumber (BDD) . Write feature files and implement step definitions following the Gherkin syntax for clear, business-readable test cases. Automate test scenarios for Android and iOS apps across multiple devices and OS versions. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and maintain test execution in real-time environments. Collaborate with QA, Dev, and Product teams to ensure coverage of functional and regression testing. Review code, enforce best practices, and mentor junior team members in automation and BDD implementation. Analyze test results, raise detailed bugs, and work with teams to resolve issues efficiently. Maintain test scripts, data, and reporting dashboards for visibility and traceability. Required Skills and Experience: 6+ years of experience in test automation, with strong focus on mobile platforms. Expertise in Core Java , object-oriented design, and data structures. Hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation (native, hybrid, and web apps). Strong command over BDD frameworks , especially Cucumber , and Gherkin-based test writing. Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins , and version control (e.g., Git). Experience with cloud-based mobile device platforms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, etc. Solid grasp of mobile automation concepts like gestures, system alerts, background testing, and device logs. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in API test automation (e.g., Postman, RestAssured). Exposure to performance testing tools for mobile (JMeter, Gatling). Knowledge of security and accessibility testing in mobile environments. ISTQB or similar QA/testing certifications. Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Leadership capability to mentor junior testers and lead testing initiatives. A team player with a solution-oriented and collaborative mindset. Ability to work independently and take full ownership of automation modules.
