Responsibilities Roles and Responsibilities The Safety - Deputy General Manager (DGM) will have the following key responsibilities: Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in alignment with industry standards and regulations Lead and oversee safety audits, inspections, and investigations to identify areas for improvement Conduct regular safety training sessions for employees and contractors to increase awareness and promote best practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety practices into daily operations Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to recommend enhancements to safety programs Prepare and present safety reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as required Manage a team of safety professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback Ensure compliance with all applicable safety laws, regulations, and standards Drive a culture of safety excellence throughout the organization Technical Skills Extensive knowledge of safety regulations and standards in the Power/Energy industry Experience with safety management systems and risk assessment methodologies Proficiency in incident investigation and root cause analysis Advanced understanding of emergency response planning and crisis management Non-Negotiable Skills Proven track record of implementing safety programs Strong leadership experience in managing safety teams Deep understanding of safety laws and regulations in the Power/Energy industry Qualifications Education Qualification Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field Master’s degree in safety management or relevant discipline (preferred) Experience Minimum 20-25 years of experience in the Power/Energy industry Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing safety programs Proven experience in managing safety teams and fostering a safe work environment Show more Show less
