Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in alignment with industry standards and regulations
• Lead and oversee safety audits, inspections, and investigations to identify areas for improvement
• Conduct regular safety training sessions for employees and contractors to increase awareness and promote best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety practices into daily operations
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to recommend enhancements to safety programs
• Prepare and present safety reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as required
• Manage a team of safety professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety laws, regulations, and standards
• Drive a culture of safety excellence throughout the organization
  

Technical Skills

• Extensive knowledge of safety regulations and standards in the Power/Energy industry
• Experience with safety management systems and risk assessment methodologies
• Proficiency in incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Advanced understanding of emergency response planning and crisis management
  

Non-Negotiable Skills

• Proven track record of implementing safety programs
• Strong leadership experience in managing safety teams
• Deep understanding of safety laws and regulations in the Power/Energy industry
  

Qualifications

Education Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• Master’s degree in safety management or relevant discipline (preferred)
  

Experience

• Minimum 20-25 years of experience in the Power/Energy industry
• Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing safety programs
• Proven experience in managing safety teams and fostering a safe work environment
