DevOps Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to manage and optimize our hybrid infrastructure — which includes AWS cloud deployments and in-house Microsoft servers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining seamless CI/CD operations, server uptime, infrastructure scalability, and robust security across environments.

You will collaborate closely with development, QA, and IT teams to ensure high availability, efficient deployments, and smooth integration between on-prem and cloud systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Management:
• Administer and monitor AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS, etc.).
• Manage and maintain in-house Windows and Microsoft servers (Active Directory, IIS, MSSQL, etc.).
• Handle setup, maintenance, and patching for Linux and other servers as needed.

• CI/CD & Automation:
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Automate deployments and server provisioning using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.

• Monitoring & Security:
• Implement system monitoring and logging (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
• Manage access control, firewalls, and compliance across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Regularly perform backup, recovery, and security patching.

• Networking & Integration:
• Ensure secure connectivity between AWS and on-premises environments (VPNs, hybrid networking).
• Troubleshoot performance, networking, and system issues across platforms.

• Collaboration:
• Work closely with development and QA teams to streamline release cycles and environment consistency.
• Support production releases and troubleshoot deployment issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or System Administrator.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, etc.).
• Experience managing Windows Server and MS SQL Server environments.
• Proficiency in Linux server administration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and deployment automation tools.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Knowledge of networking, DNS, VPN, and firewall management.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK Stack).
• Knowledge of Azure or Google Cloud platforms.
• Understanding of DevSecOps and infrastructure security practices.
