About the Role:

Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

System Design & Development

• Develop Gas Hob and Chimney products as per market and safety standards.
• Create design concepts, 3D/2D drawings (using GD&T), and validate prototypes.
• Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) and apply robust design principles.
• Conduct FMEA and risk assessments.
• Stay updated with innovations in combustion, flame control, and energy efficiency.

Testing, Validation & Compliance

• Ensure product compliance with BIS and other regulatory standards (e.g., IS 4246).
• Collaborate with the verification team for test rig development and validation.
• Conduct in-depth analysis and ensure safety features like gas leak prevention and flame safety.

Manufacturing & Cost Optimization

• Evaluate materials and processes to optimize cost and manufacturing efficiency.
• Work closely with suppliers and toolmakers for part development and approvals.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with suppliers, internal teams, and quality functions.
• Release sample inspection reports and support appliance release.

Problem Solving & Field Support

• Use quality tools (8D, Six Sigma) to solve technical issues and field problems.
• Apply root cause analysis and corrective actions effectively.
