Desktop Support Technician

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join our IT team. The successful candidate will provide technical support and assistance to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems and peripherals.

Responsibilities:

User Support:

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person.
• Resolve hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Assist users with software installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

Laptop Maintenance:

• Perform regular maintenance on desktop systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct hardware and software upgrades as needed.
• Install and configure new hardware and software components.

Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to resolve technical problems.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
• Create and update documentation for standard operating procedures.

Security and Compliance:

• Ensure desktop/laptop systems are compliant with security policies.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining security measures on desktops.

Training:

• Provide basic training to end-users on software and hardware usage.
• Create training materials and documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience in a Desktop Support role.

Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Experience with desktop virtualization technologies is a plus.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Basic understanding of networking concepts.

Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+ are desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,541.22 - ₹14,623.36 per month
