Desktop Support Engineer/IT Support Specialist

Role Overview: You are recruiting for a scheduled commercial bank in Mumbai and Kochi for the position of On-Site Desktop Support Engineer / IT Support Specialist. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical assistance and support to end users for hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure operational continuity and high-quality IT service delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Provide hands-on support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripherals. - Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in Windows and Mac environments. - Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and applications. - Support endpoint security tools, antivirus, and data loss prevention policies. - Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, service requests, and resolutions in the system. - Assist with device migrations, imaging, and deployment of new hardware/software. - Educate users on IT policies, processes, best practices, and self-service tools. - Collaborate with network, server, and application teams for escalated issues. - Generate reports and summaries for recurring issues and service trends. - Maintain inventory of IT assets and coordinate with procurement for replacements. Qualification Required: - Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - 2+ years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles. - Proficiency in Windows OS, MacOS, Microsoft Office Suite, and remote support tools. - Familiarity with Active Directory, SCCM, Intune, and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow/Zoho, etc.). - Understanding of basic networking concepts and endpoint security protocols.,
