Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Desktop Support Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing technical support for desktop hardware, software, and network-related issues. As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's IT systems, contributing to a seamless user experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • End-User Support:
    • Provide timely technical support for desktop hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Hardware and Software Installation:
    • Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
    • Conduct system upgrades and patches.
  • Network Connectivity:
    • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, ensuring seamless access to resources.
    • Collaborate with network administrators to resolve complex network problems.
  • User Training:
    • Conduct training sessions on basic hardware and software usage.
    • Create and update user documentation for self-help solutions.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Implement security measures for desktop systems and sensitive information.
    • Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
  • Remote Support:
    • Provide remote support for off-site users using desktop tools and troubleshooting techniques.

Skills Required:

Linux , Windows , Mac OS , Network Troubleshooting , Active Directory , IT Administration

Candidate Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer.
  • Proficient in Windows, Linux and MacOS.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of network protocols and connectivity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
