Design Researcher

We’re looking for a Senior Design Researcher to join our Design Research Team in Bangalore. You’ll be part of a team working with a clear mission: to help save lives.

We work on a Learning Management System (LMS) platform that supports multiple lifesaving courses—including RQI, NRP, and AHA programs. The platform runs in a web browser and helps healthcare professionals access learning materials and prepare for hands-on practice with manikins in hospital settings.

As a Senior Design Researcher, you’ll explore how users interact with the platform, understand their needs, and help shape better learning experiences, making it easier and more effective for them to build critical skills.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Plan and drive a continuous discovery strategy, embedding testing into the work cadence to regularly validate ideas, refine solutions, and gather actionable insights.
• Continuously measure user behaviour (the what), generate insights from data, and define hypotheses and discovery initiatives based on patterns and gaps.
• Use a mix of qualitative and quantitative research methods to uncover the why behind user behaviours and support evidence-based decisions.
• Champion and coach design thinking practices within and across teams to foster a user-centered culture.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to refine and iterate on user stories, ensuring they align with the intended solution design and user needs.
• Work closely and iteratively with designers, providing research input and insights to support the creation of meaningful user experiences and interfaces.
• Lead ideation sessions and actively involve the broader team and key stakeholders in conceptualizing and shaping solutions.
• Conduct usability testing using both qualitative and quantitative methods, and iterate on working solutions based on feedback from real end-users.
• Demonstrate ownership by mentoring and collaborating with the Junior Design Researcher to plan and conduct studies, share insights, and continuously improve research practices across the team.

• Loves visiting customers and is open to short term international travel.
• Always puts the customer first and can run workshops that get others excited about building user-focused products.
• Is confident using different research methods—from observing users and co-creating ideas to running tests, surveys, and tracking behaviour.
• Focuses on results, stays flexible, and finds ways to move forward even when things get tricky.
• Works well with others and enjoys being part of a supportive team.
• Has a degree in Design or a related field.
