Design Researcher

As a Senior Design Researcher at Havells India, you will be an integral part of our innovative design team, contributing to the enhancement of user experiences for digital and physical products. Your role will involve conducting in-depth user research utilizing various methodologies and translating insights into actionable design strategies. You will collaborate closely with diverse teams, including industrial designers, UX designers, and engineers, to ensure that user insights are seamlessly integrated into product development processes. Furthermore, you will be responsible for synthesizing research findings into compelling presentations that effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders. In this role, you will develop user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts to guide design decisions and align team objectives. It is essential to stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design research to continually enhance the team's capabilities. Facilitating workshops and brainstorming sessions to foster a user-centered design culture within the organization will be a key part of your responsibilities. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that both digital and physical product designs effectively meet user needs and align with business goals. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field. Additionally, you should have 3 to 4 years of experience in design research, ideally within a product-focused environment. A strong portfolio demonstrating research projects and their impact on product design is required, along with proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods. Familiarity with design tools and software such as Sketch, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite would be advantageous.
