Design Engineer

Job Purpose:

The Design Engineer (Mechanical) will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems and structures for solar energy projects, including ground-mounted, rooftop, and hybrid solar solutions. The role ensures safe, cost-effective, and efficient mechanical design aligned with project specifications, industry standards, and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical Design & Development
• Design solar module mounting structures (MMS), foundations, trackers, and support systems.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and BOQs.
• Perform structural analysis considering wind load, snow load, and seismic conditions.
• Project Engineering
• Support the project team with design inputs for ground-mounted, rooftop, and BIPV systems.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes (IS, IEC, ASTM, ASCE, etc.).
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, civil engineers, and procurement teams.
• Software & Tools
• Use CAD, SolidWorks, STAAD Pro, ANSYS, or similar tools for 3D modeling and stress analysis.
• Optimize designs for cost, material utilization, and ease of installation.
• Documentation & Compliance
• Prepare design reports, technical specifications, and datasheets.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
• Vendor & Client Coordination
• Work with vendors for design feasibility, prototyping, and quality assurance.
• Support the business development team with technical proposals and client queries.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (M.Tech preferred).
• Experience: 2–5 years in solar/renewable energy projects (freshers with strong design skills may be considered).
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, STAAD Pro/ANSYS.
• Knowledge of IS codes and international standards.
• Understanding of solar PV systems and mounting solutions.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
