Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer with a strong background in both mechanical or electronic product design. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the automotive horn or acoustic device industry, with the ability to take products from concept to mass production. The role involves end-to-end design ownership, including mechanical structures, electrical circuits, and performance validation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of electro-mechanical products such as horns, buzzers, or similar acoustic devices.
• Create and manage 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs using CAD tools (SolidWorks / CATIA / Creo).
• Design mechanical housings, diaphragms, brackets, and assemblies with focus on manufacturability, performance, and cost.
• Develop and validate electronic circuits (DC coils, contact systems, and PCB layouts) as per design requirements.
• Conduct DFMEA, PFMEA, and perform tolerance stack-up analysis and validation testing.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Tooling, and Supply Chain for product industrialization.
• Support supplier development and prototyping activities for critical components.
• Perform failure analysis and implement design improvements on existing products.
• Ensure compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory standards (SAE / ISO / AIS).
• Maintain all design documentation, change control records, and DVP&R reports.

Qualifications & Skills:

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineering.
• 4–7 years of experience in product design & development, preferably in horns or electro-mechanical products.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo).
• Working knowledge of electrical design tools (Altium, OrCAD, or equivalent).
• Good understanding of electro-mechanical systems, magnetic circuits, and acoustic performance.
• Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, and APQP processes.
• Familiarity with automotive standards and testing protocols for acoustic devices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Team-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience in the automotive horn or sound-emitting device industry.
• Exposure to vibration analysis, acoustic tuning, and durability testing.
• Experience in value engineering and cost optimization.
• Understanding of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 quality management system

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
