Proficient in Creo Design tool with plastic designPart creation, Drafting, Assemblies and design tables.- Develop and implement best practices for plastic manufacturing processes, including injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding.- Design plastics or injection-mold fabrication processes.- Hands on experience in concept development and Continuous Design Improvement.- Engineering documentation includes bills of material, test specifications, lab reports.- Experience in understanding engineering workflow & PLM system (Windchill).- Good Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack up.- Good Knowledge in manufacturing processes (plastic design, manufacturing) and design codes- DFMEA and design validation plan.- Responsible for new product technical feasibility study, Design review, DVP etc.
Responsibilities
Support/Lead product design and engineering efforts for assigned NPD/ LCE projects.- Develop plastic products and processes, focusing on material selection, product design using CAD software, moldability, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturing requirements.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet functional, aesthetic, and quality standards from concept to production- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing material performance, reducing costs, and minimizing environmental impact.- Ensure project milestones and deliverables with agreed Quality, Delivery, cost for all phases of project- To support i2V workshops, brainstorm ideas, and create alternative designs to optimize product performance.- Conduct material selection and testing to identify optimal polymers for specific applications, considering factors such as mechanical properties, thermal stability, and chemical resistance.- Stay updated with the latest advancements in plastic materials and manufacturing technologies
Qualifications
Bachelordegree in mechanical engineering or related discipline- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in design and development (Especially for Plastic products, pumps, high pressure components)- Proactive, self-motivating with ability to develop your own priorities - Excellent time management and organizational skills.- Ability to travel both domestic and international as and when required- Flexible, adaptable, and eager to deliver timely results despite unanticipated challenges.
