Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our product development team. The ideal candidate will transform concepts into manufacturable designs, ensuring products meet performance, safety, and cost objectives throughout the entire product lifecycle. If you enjoy turning sketches into robust, physical reality, you belong here. Key Responsibilities Design & Modeling: Conceptualize, design, and develop complex mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, NX10). Documentation: Create and manage all essential engineering documentation, including detailed 2D production drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and engineering change orders (ECOs). Analysis & Validation: Conduct engineering analyses, calculations, and simulations (e.g., FEA/CFD) to validate design integrity, structural performance, and material suitability. Prototyping & Testing: Oversee the prototyping process, design test methods, and rigorously test prototypes to ensure they meet specified requirements and industry standards. DFx: Implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles to optimize designs for cost-effective, high-volume production. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Procurement, to ensure seamless integration and production readiness. Troubleshooting: Conduct root cause analysis on design-related issues in both prototype and production phases, and implement effective corrective actions. Supplier Engagement: Collaborate with external suppliers and vendors for component selection, material specification, and validation of custom parts.
