Qualification Required

  • Experience in precision machine tool industry
  • Expertise in design, manufacture, assembly, and maintenance of hydrostatic or aerostatic bearings
  • Knowledge and Experience with FEA analysis for precision assemblies and sub systems

  • Experienced, Early/Mid career engineer

Requirements

MGT is currently seeking a strong and passionate design engineer to join our team. As a Design Engineer focused on new product development (NPD), you will:
  • Conceptualize and develop cutting edge CNC grinding machines and their sub systems (spindles, slides, accessories, etc.) to meet stringent application requirements
  • Perform technical calculations (for component sizing, selection), FEA simulations, error budgets, tolerance stack ups and other analysis to support product design
  • Design of mechanical components and sub-assemblies and machines to meet target specifications within design constraints. Prepare engineering drawings and intermediate processing/ machining drawings using industry best practices
  • Adopt and practice best practices for concurrent engineering including DFA/ DFM, FMEA in product design
  • Document and communicate the architecture and design with other stakeholders and collaborators through good documentation: design reviews, analysis reports, assembly process sheets, engineering drawings, BoMs, etc.
  • Participate in testing and validation of first prototype. Incorporate feedback and improvements from prototyping, testing and field usage.
  • Carrying out costing and budget of components and sub systems based on BOM
