Job Description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Working with the Global & Local Engineering team to build concept designs & develop final design for NPD & VA/VE programs.
  • Do design calculations, execute product validation tests in test lab with the help of testing team.
  • Preparation of design documentation for gate reviews
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams and suppliers to conduct DFMs
  • Preparation of technical files for Product certifications applicable to valve industry.
  • Support sales & marketing literature, technical documentation like IoMs, brochures, TDS etc.
  • Create 3D part & assembly models, 2D manufacturing drawings, engineering BoMs
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management; job duties may change at any time with or without notice.

Who You Are:

You have strong mechanical engineering design fundamentals (static mechanics), with valve domain experience. Continually identifies opportunities to innovate and improve the process and product design.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Minimum 2 to 4 years’ experience in relevant area
  • Experience in butterfly or any other valve designs is an added advantage.
  • Strong mechanical engineering design fundamentals (static mechanics).
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials used in valve industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess problems or issues on the shop floor.
  • Experience of new product designs, development, hands on experience with design verification tools such as 6σ, GD&T, DFMEA, QFD, DFM/A and engineering calculations.
  • Knowledge of international standards, such as ASME, API, EN, ISO, BS valve standards. ISO 9000 quality procedure.
  • Excellent working experience in CAD software, such as Inventor, AutoCAD, Solidworks, Creo. Extensive working experience in Enovia.
  • Knowledge of PLM and ERP will add advantage.
  • Familiar with measuring equipment (tactile or scan) to perform tests in Valves and actuator, tests also can be done on the shop floor.
  • Tech Savvy & Cultivates innovation.
  • English fluent (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's Mechanical Engineering Degree or related Engineering
  • Valve industrial experience will be an added advantage.
