Design Coordinator

Role Summary:

This role will be responsible for coordinating all types of designs such as Architectural, Structural, MEP, Interior etc. ensuring that design activities are initiated and completed on time and in line with the project requirements. This role involves conducting design reviews, documenting all revisions, approvals, issues, collaborating with external design associates & internal cross functional teams

Key Responsibilities:

·        Develop workflows & SOP for design finalization & ensure adherence to the same.

·        Ensure that the design activities are initiated & completed by respective designer in line with the project requirement.

·        Collaborate with a wide variety of design agencies including architectural, Structural & MEP consultants etc. to ensure seamless integration of design elements.

·        Conduct thorough reviews of design / drawings to identify any issues or discrepancies and maintaining records from time to time.

·        Ensure that the management’s input is consistently incorporated in all designs.

·        Conduct regular meetings and effectively communicate with management & all stakeholders to incorporate their inputs in finalization of designs.

·        Maintain proper documentation of Meeting discussions, real-time update of design changes, drawing revisions, design issues & communicate with stakeholders from time to time

·        Track design deliverables, changes and follow up on action items related to design execution.

·        Coordinate selection of process of finishing materials including taking approvals, maintaining records, communicate with project & procurement team.

·        Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, building codes, and sustainability principles in all design activities.

·        Conduct regular site visits, participate in project meetings to discuss design/drawings-related challenges encountered during construction, facilitating resolutions with the relevant internal / external team

·        Provide inputs to marketing and sales teams for the development of promotional materials, sales brochures, and marketing collateral.

Candidate Profile:

The right candidate shall be a proactive professional who is technically strong, disciplined, & who can take ownership of his/her work. He/she shall have a balanced knowledge of architectural, structural, MEP drawings & finishing items, documentation skills, and eagerness to learn

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in architecture / Civil Engineering from recognized university.

Experience:

Experience in Architectural design and project / design coordination with a minimum of 7 years of experience in managing multiple residential or mixed-use development projects.

Skills:

·        Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup.

·        Ability to read and interpret all types of construction drawings.

·        Must be skilled in collaborating with Architects, Structural, MEP and design teams to resolve on-site challenges and implement design modifications.

·        Knowledge of construction materials & methodologies including finishing items

·        Proficiency in Building Information Modelling (BIM) shall be an added advantage.

·        Proven track record in leading full-cycle projects from concept development to on-site completion.

·        Attention to detail and accuracy in drawings & documentation workflows.

·        Capability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

·        Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

·        Good communication & teamwork abilities.
